New energy light passengers sold the crown in September, selling 35,200 yuan, easily surpassing Remote and Chang ‘an.

Light passenger car is the segment with the largest market share in China. According to the data of China Automobile Association (the number of votes issued by enterprises, the number of non-terminal sales), the cumulative sales of light buses (including chassis) in China in the first three quarters of 2024 was 294,200, up 4% year-on-year, accounting for nearly 80% (79.24%). However, it is worth noting that from June to September, it suffered a "four consecutive declines", and the cumulative sales growth rate narrowed by 12 percentage points compared with that after May (+16%). New energy light passengers are one of the few bright spots. In September, a total of 24,000 vehicles were sold (note: the vehicle length is 4.5-7 meters, mainly VAN-type closed van logistics vehicles with a length of 4.5-6 meters, and the data source is the actual sales caliber of compulsory insurance, excluding exports), and the sales volume exceeded 20,000 vehicles for seven consecutive months, up 60% year-on-year. From January to September, the cumulative actual sales were 173,800 vehicles, up 86% year-on-year, which has exceeded the annual data of 2023 (137,000 vehicles).

In addition to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) have licensed new energy light passengers, of which 26 provinces have licensed more than 1,000 new energy light passengers. Guangdong ranks first, with 49,100 licensed vehicles, accounting for 28.3%; Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong also have more than 10,000 cards. From the perspective of cities, a total of 335 cities have new energy light passengers, with Guangdong Province taking the top four, Shenzhen (21,400 vehicles), Guangzhou (10,500 vehicles), Dongguan (5,607 vehicles) and Foshan (5,240 vehicles). Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Tianjin and Wuxi rank 5-10 respectively. From the perspective of fuel types, the new energy light passenger technology route is mainly pure electric, accounting for 99.998%, up 0.023 percentage points year-on-year; Fuel cells and hybrids are almost negligible. In terms of the volume of the cargo compartment, the proportion of the middle surface (the volume of the cargo compartment is about 6 square meters) decreased by 14.21 percentage points to 66.55%, while the proportion of the large surface (the volume of the cargo compartment is 7-8 square meters) increased by 15.56 percentage points to 28.25%. It can be seen that the new energy light passenger market is developing in a bigger direction.

Kairui new energy

It is one of the first enterprises with the qualification of national pure electric commercial vehicle production. On December 5th last year, the intelligent electric super VAN Ruichi EC75 was officially launched, with a price of 165,800-175,800 yuan. On November 4th, this year, seven models of three new versions, namely, Intelligent Driving Edition, Overcharged Edition and Intelligent Driving Overcharged Edition, were put into pre-sale. Among them, the intelligent driving overcharged version uses Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited Tianxing L overcharged version 50.1kWh battery, and the CLTC cruising range is 306 kilometers; It is equipped with L2 intelligent driver assistance system independently developed by the whole stack, including 11 driver assistance functions, which is comparable to mainstream passenger cars.

Ranked third, with a total sales of 17,600 new energy light passengers from January to September. Changan, a subsidiary of Changan, is positioned as an "all-round electric light passenger car", which has a variety of body forms, including two freight high-tops, two freight flat-tops, and six passenger flat-tops, and is suitable for more use scenarios. Equipped with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited battery and Suzhou Huichuan permanent magnet synchronous motor, it can easily meet the needs of climbing and heavy loading.

Remote new energy commercial vehicle

Retreat to the second place, sales fell by 1% year-on-year to 31,700 units. This is the first commercial vehicle group focusing on the new energy field in China, which belongs to Geely Holding Group and was established in 2014. It owns, enjoys V7E, V5E, V6E, E6, E6 functional edition and V6F, etc. On April 21st, this year, Xingxiang V7E was officially launched, with the length, width and height of 5305/1745/1985mm, the wheelbase of 3360mm, the storage space of 7 squares and the maximum load capacity of 1.3 tons. The cockpit platform of Geely passenger car is designed, equipped with a multimedia steering wheel and a 10.1-inch central control screen to meet some basic leisure and entertainment uses.

SAIC GM Wuling
