Taxi companies in Chongqing agree to lower their fares, and drivers will increase their fares by hundreds of yuan per month

　　On the same day, the heads of 36 companies of the Taxi Association and the leaders of two private car groups reached an agreement on several matters including reducing the "board money".

　　Yesterday, the taxi association formed an open letter to the people of the city on the basis of consultation. The first article is very clear: resolutely support the decision of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, and do a good job in lowering the taxi "board money". The person in charge of the taxi association explained that the association had made a reduction plan for the taxi "board money" before, but in the end it was subject to the announcement of the municipal government.

　　At present, the amount of "board money" for taxis in the main city is not exactly the same: from 190 yuan to 230 yuan per class.

　　It is understood that the specific reduction of the "board money" may need to be reviewed and approved by the municipal government’s executive meeting. However, the head of the taxi association accidentally revealed that after reducing the "board money", each taxi driver may earn an additional 500 or 600 yuan per month.

　　There are taxi associations in Chongqing, but no drivers’ associations. In this context, it is difficult to form a mechanism for drivers to communicate with their bosses.

　　"The channels of appeal are not smooth, and it is easy to cause misunderstandings," said the head of the taxi association. According to the agreement reached yesterday, a branch of taxi drivers will be established in the taxi association organization. Taxi drivers will participate free of charge and will not pay dues. It is estimated that the association will be formed next Friday.

　　Although they were subordinate to the taxi association, the driver’s branch could directly talk to the taxi association about demands, conflicts of interest, etc. For example, "board money", various insurances, etc., my brother’s sister could negotiate with the boss collectively through the taxi branch in the future.

　　"If they have any opinions or suggestions, they can also report them to the above through the industry association. In this way, the information transmission and opinion communication channels will be very smooth," said the head of the taxi association.
