　　Aya became popular in the Chinese-speaking world because of her host status in variety shows "I guess, I guess, I guess" and "Invincible Double-Fired Cannon", and she is known as the three major variety divas in Taiwan Province along with Xiao S and Tao Zi.

　　However, the beginning of this interview was that "This Night, Women Say Crosstalk" which she participated in was popular all over the country in two months.

　　More than a year ago, Aya abandoned her invitation to host and act and went to the United States to study acting. This drama was her debut. So successful and so different, both the audience and the media commented: seeing a different Aya.

　　Then, everyone still has doubts: will different Aya bring happiness to everyone as before?

　　When interviewed by our reporter by telephone, Aya was still in Taipei, and was preparing to fly to Beijing to spend Christmas Eve with the Beijing audience.

　　Aya’s voice came from the phone, so gentle that the reporter blurted out: "Your voice is so gentle, it’s nothing like you on TV." She smiled and said, "Now I am more and more used to being told that you are different from TV."

　　Women say that cross talk men laugh louder than women.

　　Reporter: "This Night, Women Say Crosstalk" is a sensation in the tour around the mainland. What do you think of yourself?

　　Ya: Before taking part in this performance, I just went to the United States to study for more than a year. I made a precipitation of my previous work experience, and then I also learned acting, so I am quite confident to take part in this cross talk drama. My own evaluation is that there will always be room for learning. So far, all the comments I have heard are very good, hehe.

　　Reporter: What are the advantages and difficulties for women to say cross talk?

　　Ya: Women say that cross talk is also the most attractive part of this play. Because, from before to now, we really rarely see women talking cross talk.

　　Why can’t women say cross talk? Just in your own way. We are actually discussing the topics and situations faced by women in a happy atmosphere.

　　Reporter: Have you ever encountered any difficulties in stage performance skills?

　　Ya: lives of three women, the biggest difficulty is that there are many broken lines, and the rehearsal time is short, so it is very hard to recite lines.

　　In this play, I play a host, so I must distinguish this role from Aya in I guess, which is a great challenge for me. Fortunately, many viewers said that seeing Aya, which is different from that on TV, means that my performance has been recognized.

　　Reporter: Do you feel that you have got any promotion?

　　Ya: Actually, as you may not know, I used to be more or less nervous when hosting a party. I was a little nervous before this performance, but I will completely relax and concentrate on the performance after I step onto the stage, which makes me feel quite comfortable.

　　Reporter: Did you interact well with the mainland audience?

　　Ya: For me, the audience in Taiwan Province is the same as those in mainland China, because we are a family. It is very direct for the stage play to receive the audience’s reaction. We are women talking about cross talk. We thought that the female audience would laugh louder than the male audience, but to our surprise, the male audience laughed louder than the female audience.

　　I was deeply impressed by a boy who always laughed two beats faster than others, and his laughter was particularly loud. He was sitting in the front row, and we all clearly saw his chair shaking with laughter on the stage. I was really surprised. I thought women could understand the plot better, but then I thought, maybe women’s bosom friends are men.

　　I was deeply impressed by the mainland tour. I have the idea of drinking water and thinking about the source.

　　Reporter: You wrote a lot of emotional feelings about mainland China on Sina blog, which caused great repercussions. What do you think?

　　Ya: Actually, I think we share the same culture. In this respect, we are not separated.

　　Because of this play, I have the opportunity to see it in various provinces and cities. I went to Hanshan Temple in Suzhou, and I saw a small bridge and flowing water in Suzhou. My father and mother are both from Jiangsu, so I went to Suzhou, and I had another feeling, so I wrote my feelings in my blog: "My grandfather is also from Jiangsu, and my grandfather’s grandfather and grandfather’s grandfather … I don’t know politics, but I only know that the blood connection with my ancestors has a long history and cannot be cut. This is a fact that no one can change."

　　When I went to the Forbidden City in Beijing, I felt like "I think of heaven and earth, without limit, without end, alone in tears". Under the same roof, people walk around now, but how many stories have happened here in the past? How many major events that affected the whole world were decided here? How many historical vicissitudes and changes have the old ancestors experienced? Then it slowly continued to us today, so I have the idea of drinking water and thinking about the source.

　　From elf girl to elegant woman, I appreciate my humorous side.

　　Reporter: After listening to your words, I feel very different from Aya on TV, and I feel a bit like a literary youth.

　　Ya: Yes, many people say that I am much worse on stage and off stage.

　　Reporter: Many people also think that you are very different before and after going to the United States, saying that you used to be an elf, but now you are elegant. Do you like to use the word elegance to describe you?

　　Ya: Er … OK. I think, in the past, everyone was too impressed with my image of hosting "I guess". After a year, everyone’s impression of my stage image was a little lighter, and it was easier to see my other side. I didn’t mean to be like that. Actually, I quite appreciate my humorous side. Many people think elegance is not funny. In fact, I don’t think elegance and humor conflict with me.

　　Reporter: Why did you suddenly go to America when your acting career was developing smoothly?

　　Ya: Because I felt I had to do something for myself. I have been working since I graduated from school. In the middle, my father became ill, so I took care of my family while working. A year after my father died, my mood was more calm. I remember that my father always wanted me to enrich myself. He said that the development of the entertainment industry is very fast, and I need to constantly replenish myself to keep up with the rhythm.

　　Studying abroad has always been a small dream of mine. After 30 years old, the possibility of realizing this dream is getting smaller and smaller. I decided to realize this dream before I was 30 years old.

　　Studying in the United States can slow down and precipitate your own experience. I think a sense of humor needs layers. Therefore, I should go out for both public and private purposes.

　　Sure enough, after I came back, everyone felt that they saw me differently, including the performance in "This Night, Women Say Crosstalk".

　　Being an autistic child as a host teacher has always given me a chance to express myself.

　　Reporter: Do you still host variety shows to bring joy to everyone when your father is ill? Does this feel a little cruel?

　　Ya: Do you feel cruel? I don’t think so. My father has always been proud that I can bring joy to others. What makes me feel distressed is that I can’t help seeing my father tortured by illness. In fact, after my father got sick, when he was not very serious at first, he would go to buy breakfast and talk to his neighbors about me. Therefore, when I can perform well in the program and bring joy to the audience, that is also the strength my father gave me.

　　Reporter: I heard that you were shy when you were a child. Is that true?

　　Ya: Very shy. Before the fourth grade of primary school, I was very shy and didn’t like to talk. I didn’t even go to school. I didn’t want to go until my family urged me. I didn’t want to have contact with people. It can be said that I was a little autistic.

　　Reporter: What happened in the fourth grade that changed you?

　　Ya: I just met a noble person. One of my teachers is Li Yuee. She found me afraid to speak. At that time, the school had a weekly report system, and the teacher chose me to report. The first time I came on stage, I was shaking and couldn’t say a word. I thought, "It’s over, the teacher will definitely give up on me." However, she didn’t. She ordered me next time and always gave me a chance to express myself. When you get used to speaking in front of a crowd, you will be able to express yourself. By the fifth grade of primary school, I had a big contrast and became particularly fond of acting. I would attend all kinds of school activities, such as drama, radio and debate. The teacher is really important. If she had given up on me, I don’t know what I would be like now.

　　Reporter: This teacher is really something. She found a comedian for us. Have you told her about this?

　　Ya: Yes, I talked about it in the last program later, and asked the host to invite the teacher to the program site, thanking her. The teacher is also happy that I remember her.

　　The secret host partner who works well with Wu Zongxian is like a couple.

　　Reporter: After you came back from America, everyone wondered if you would show a different Aya when you returned to I guess.

　　Ya: I think it’s too deliberate to be different. Many people think so, what will I become. Actually, I think it depends on the content of the program.

　　Reporter: Many people are waiting for your new performance. Will it be stressful?

　　Ya: No. Doing this kind of program is to have fun and relax. If you are unhappy, how can you bring happiness to others? Everyone is worried that I will become elegant and my hosting style will not change in the future. Actually, it won’t. Do you think, when I was hosting "I guess", I sat in my chair and said something gentle? That’s too strange!

　　Reporter: What kind of person is Wu Zongxian in your eyes?

　　Ya: I think Brother Xian is really cute. He is the same on stage and off stage. He is very friendly to people and doesn’t put on airs because he is the eldest brother in the entertainment circle. I have benefited a lot from his real and friendly qualities, and I am glad that I can host with such a partner for so long. And if you encounter problems, such as not being able to play, controlling tricks, he is willing to teach you.

　　Reporter: Is there a secret that you have been working together for so many years?

　　Ya: Because we are both good people, huh? The most important thing is to keep it fresh. Hosting is like falling in love. Partners are like a couple. You can’t get tired just because you have been partners for a long time, so there will be an "emotional crisis". Therefore, every time I make a video, I keep a fresh state.

　　Reporter: When Wu Zongxian’s partner seems to be only a green leaf to set off his red flower, is that right?

　　Ya: My style is to achieve others. I want Brother Xian to show off. When he is free and unconstrained, I should stop him properly and grasp the time and content of the program. For example, I can visit an old gentleman. Maybe his clothes are very fashionable. You can make a joke, but after that, I can’t forget that the old gentleman came because he is very good at riding a motorcycle.

　　I want to do a variety show that is entertaining and entertaining when I plan to develop in the mainland.

　　Reporter: Are you going to develop in the mainland? There are many loyal audiences here.

　　Ya: For me, I am now a member of the mainland. I have hosted activities and selected programs in the mainland for a long time. But there is no fixed program yet, and there are some intentions now, but I am still waiting for the right program.

　　Reporter: What kind of programs do you want to do if you go to the mainland?

　　Ya: I want to do variety shows that are educational and entertaining. For example, it has something to do with culture, but it is still a happy, lively and fun program.

　　Reporter: it’s good to entertain and educate, but it’s not easy to do it.

　　Ya: So it would be great if it could be done. I will work hard and I will never give up.
